This is my third journal feature over all, my first one upon having received a new subscription from the quite lovely/handsome =Pyroluminescence.
My method remains the same as before: Three deviants and ten pieces from other deviants, as well as three specific subjects that I feel like turning my attention to at the time. Some of these deviants are relative unknowns. Others, not so much. It hardly matters to me. What matters to me is these people and their artwork getting the recognition they deserve.
So now, with no further ado, I give you my third journal feature.
Deviant One:
Though this person is the one I noted as responsible for my current subscription, Id like to point out that the fact hardly went into my decision. Rather, Ive chosen this person due to the fact that not only are they my friend, they are also a rather good artist in their own right, and a blossoming writer (no matter how much they protest).
A Few Choice Pieces:

Deviant Two:
Admittedly, I first ran across this talented deviant, not when they got a Daily Deviation, but while trolling about for Dark Knight artwork that didnt consist of bad make-up jobs (no offense to the rare good make-up job), and found that I was rather smitten with her style of painting, and was even more thrilled upon her creation of several Watchmen-based paintings. She has a very realistic, gritty style that tends to grow on you, and from what I hear on the Twitter-vine, she may have a Jack Nicholson in the works.
A Few Choice Pieces:

Deviant Three:
This deviant is also a good friend of mine, and a very lovely writer, if I do say so myself. Over the several years that Ive known her, she has done a lot to influence my writing and help me in understanding both myself and my style.
A Few Choice Pieces:

Topic One: Watchmen
Im sure that to some degree, youre all like Oh hell, another Watchmen feature but honestly, I count myself as a fan of both the comic and the movie, and Ive seen a fairly large amount of good artwork based around both of them, and I wanted to display a few.
A Few Choice Pieces:

Topic Two: Snakes
As an owner of two snakes myself (a seven-foot black rat snake named Piper, and a three-foot ball python named Bowie), Im rather surprised I didnt do this earlier, but oh well. Heres some snake-themed work by people who generally love them.
A Few Choice Pieces:

Topic Three: The Deadliest Catch
This was a topic that at first I was cagey on because the last time I did a search, I was one of the only people with a piece of The Deadliest Catch-related artwork, and I didnt want to feature myself.
A Few Choice Pieces:

Ten Featured Deviations
1.
by Lets face it, theres really nothing more charming than a crab in a top hat, and this ones even got flowers. This is only one of my favourite pieces by this artist, and it made me smile to myself even to look.
2.
by I absolutely love most of this artists work, but this just made me laugh out loud when I first saw it. Cant wait for the figurine collection.
3.
by As the artist said, this piece can be taken to mean many things, and for me personally, I suppose Ive attached my own meaning, which may or may not have been intended. Either way, its a wonderful, multi-layered piece with dynamic colouring and striking figures.
4.
by This piece, the first of several, struck me at first because I thought they were especially bleak anthromorphized Cubones. However, this was not the case, and I was instead treated to a pair of startlingly stark, skull-topped figures, that to quote the artist, are probably a commentary on some deep social issue, but damned if I know what.
5.
by I know Anti-Twilight stamps are a little common-place, but this is a really good one, in my opinion, though Im not fond of every book listed, and I rather like it.
6.
This piece comes bearing one very important warning: Never bring an ice-cream truck to a taser-fight!
7.
by An outstanding tribute to one of my favourite movies.
8.
by A fun piece featuring some of my favourite comic book characters. Cant help but wonder whats being said here.
9.
by This piece is one that was originally submitted for a contest, and that I, personally think should have come in higher than it did. The make-up job on this costume is spectacular and highly accurate, showing a close attention to detail that pays off tremendously.
10.
by I admit this was a piece written for me, but the fact that it is so well written and so true to the characters based solely on what they knew of them from my own writing warrants exposure in my opinion.
