Welcome to my September/October 2009 journal DOUBLE feature.
This month, were doubling it! SIX deviants. SIX topics. TWENTY other deviations.
So now, with no further ado, I give you my journal feature.
Deviant One:
Though sometimes maligned, :devianttorture-device:s gallery is full of the violent, the potentially offensive, and the visually dazzling. It takes balls to capture some of the images he does (by which I generally mean the balls necessary to have the patience to deal with the people who pitch shitfits over said images), and in this guys opinion, he pulls it off with aplomb.
A Few Choice Pieces:

Deviant Two:
While sadly on hiatus, :deviantwhat-i-do-is-secret:s art style is fun and littered with interesting characters. Hopefully, shell be back sooner than later.
A Few Choice Pieces:

Deviant Three:
Admittedly this deviant has technically been featured under the name :deviantferretfooties:, :deviantlittleredpandamonium:s art style has since changed and evolved with her new persona, and is as fun as ever.
A Few Choice Pieces:

Deviant Four
This deviant is one with whom Ive only occasionally interacted, but whose gallery I rather enjoy. His depictions of dwarves, gnolls, orcs, and other war-like fellows.
A Few Choice Pieces:

Deviant Five
:devianttonksqueenofpink: is one of the first deviants I met upon joining the site, and Im terribly surprised that I havent featured her yet. Her often playful style and sometimes exaggerated facial features make for a rather delightful gallery.
A Few Choice Pieces:

Deviant Six
This deviant is the author of one of two of my favourite webcomics (now sadly on indefinite hiatus).
A Few Choice Pieces:

Topic One: Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Hell, this is a double feature, and its near Halloween, why not do a Rocky Horror Picture Show feature?
A Few Choice Pieces:

Topic Two: Sherlock Holmes.
I confess to having rediscovered my infatuation with anything and everything Sherlock Holmes.
A Few Choice Pieces:

Topic Three: Burlesque.
I know what youre thinking. Burlesque? Why burlesque? Well, admittedly its an odd choice for me, but I recently went to a burlesque show that was set up by a friend of the family to raise money for breast cancer, and it was quite spectacular. Everything from belly dancers, to fire artists, to drag queens.
A Few Choice Pieces:

Topic Four: M*A*S*H.
Lessee its a fantastic television show, stemming from a fantastic movie, based on a fantastic novel. Also, I went as Hawkeye for Halloween.
A Few Choice Pieces:

Topic Five: Zombies.
Hell, its Halloween, why not have some zombies?
A Few Choice Pieces:

Topic Six: Siamese Cats.
It seems odd after the others, but I like them a lot. One of my first cats was a Siamese, and my two boys, Othello and Faustus are both lynx-point Siamese.
A Few Choice Pieces:

Twenty Featured Deviations
1.
by A terribly wonderful cartoonish version of Father Malchahy from M*A*S*H.
2.
by While I confess that Holmes/Watson is probably not canon, I cant help but be infatuated with the idea, and this :deviantomelton:s delightfully risqué use of silhouette to illustrate the moment.
3.
by What can I say? I love this sort of humour.
4.
by Rose photographs are generally overdone, but this one by :deviantlambech: has a feel to it that somehow makes it pleasantly fresh.
5.
by This is the artists only oil painting, and I must say, its a rather lovely one.
6.
by A rather eerie looking piece of photography that makes one pause for thought, if only for a moment.
7.
by A very cool David Bowie portrait inspired by extensive listening of the Low album.
8.
by Who hasnt had this happen?
9.
by Cmon. Its an octopus girl. What else is there to do but to say Awww! and back away slowly?
10.
by Its difficult to describe this piece it always has been one kind of has to read it to understand it.
11.
by A demon, devil, or dragon; whatever it is, =PearlEdens Dark Beast is a wonderfully detailed study in what I like to call creature blending.
12.
by A fun little pixel piece based on a video game reference and a terrible pun.
13.
by Cthulhu has never been so cuddly.
14.
by For some reason this makes me think of a Tom Waits song that I cant recall the title of at the moment, but I rather like it all the same.
15.
by For those of us who cant forget how long and awkward that handshake was.
16.
by A rather edgy-feeling female take on the Mad Hatter of Alice in Wonderland fame.
17.
by Who can resist a pair of gentlemen ganders?
18.
by This piece for some reason reminds me of that show a while back entitled The Future is Wild.
19.
by An entirely different take on the noble treefolk.
20.
by An incredibly cool idea set in motion. Cant wait to see the finished project in bronze.

I had a dream that I met you and Meg in front of a ranch-style house. For some reason Meg was a bleach-blonde, and you refused to hug me. D: Then she got pissed at you for being mean, and then I was naked in a blow-up kiddie pool.
"I'm not an exhibitionist, I promise," dream-me said to the two of you (who seemed... oddly unfazed). "It just didn't occur to me to put on clothes today."
THE END.

"My soul flies erratically on the wings of what I would imagine is a feeble bipolarism. Not the all out kind. I've encountered that and I'm not that. However, something akin to that brushes past me in my quietest hours..."
Goddammit, get the hell out of my dreams, you crazy kids! And wipe your feet!

LOL It was really funny because he hadn't read the stories and was going entirely on what little facets of their behavior we (being myself, the two girls in the class, and our usual professor Dr. Knight) were able to give him. XD
Well, it's a Literary Crit class that all sophomores have to take, but this week was Queer Theory Week.
It did produce a hilarious quote:
Dr. Foster: "You see, you can't let your personality impose on the book's meaning. Like when I do my African American Literature classes, I have to not let my blackness stand in the way of the book, and when I do my Gay/Lesbian Literature classes, I have to not let my queerness stand in the way of the book either."
